What treatments are available?
Pigmentation spots laser
One of the most commonly used techniques for removing pigmentation spots is laser treatment. At Skincenters, we use Lutronic's Picoplus laser for this purpose.
This laser specifically targets the pigments present without damaging the pigment cells themselves. This protects the skin, but it is important to use good sun protection after treatment to prevent new pigmentation spots. After treatment, the spot may darken temporarily, then gradually fade and eventually disappear.

Treating pigmentation spots with chemical peel
In addition to laser treatments, a chemical peel can also be used to remove pigmentation spots. This peel works by exfoliating the upper layers of skin, reducing pigmentation spots and giving the skin a fresher, smoother appearance.
For optimal results, we often recommend combining the treatment with special home products to further support the skin's recovery and maintain results longer.

Preparation and aftercare for pigmentation treatment
Treatment cannot be performed when:
- You are tanned by sun, self-tanner, spray tan or tanning bed
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding
It is important to avoid sun and tanning beds both 6 weeks before and after treatment. We also recommend using a sunscreen with high protection factor.
After treatment, the pigment spot may first darken before becoming lighter. It is best to stay away from the skin as much as possible during the recovery period. For a more intense treatment, our Laserat cream (specially developed for after laser treatment) can also be used.
