Treating rosacea

Treating rosacea
Couperose is a common skin condition that expresses itself mainly on the face and décolleté with visible red and blue blood vessels. This condition occurs mainly in people with fair skin and usually from the age of 30. Many people experience the redness as disturbing and try to hide it with opaque foundations or concealers. Unfortunately, this often does not produce the desired results and the irritating ingredients in these products can clog and aggravate the skin.
Traditional treatments, such as using a hot needle, were often painful and time-consuming. Fortunately, modern laser treatments offer an effective and long-lasting solution. Using lasers, we can significantly reduce redness, giving the skin a more even appearance. Let us help you achieve smooth, radiant skin!

Rosacea lasering
During the treatment, you may experience a brief, intense heat on the treated area. It is normal to feel redness, swelling or a heat sensation in the days following the treatment. For best results, we often recommend a combination of laser treatments with high-quality products.
In addition to rosacea and rosacea, we can also treat other skin conditions with our lasers, such as:
- Cherry angiomas
- Redness after acne
- Facial flushing
- Venous Lake
Preparation and aftercare for rosacea treatment
Treatment cannot be performed when:
- You are tanned by sun, self-tanner, spray tan or tanning bed
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding
After the rosacea treatment, there is a reaction of the skin that manifests as redness or slight swelling
We use a specially developed cream, Laserat, for this purpose at Skincenters. This cream was developed by a pharmaceutical company and is specifically for after laser treatment. Laserat provides immediate cooling and faster recovery after treatment.
After treatment, sun exposure should be avoided and application of SPF50 is necessary. Thus, baths, sauna and infrared are not recommended during the recovery period.

Frequently Asked Questions/FAQ about rosacea
The most effective way to remove visible vessels is through laser treatment with a vascular laser. At Skincenters we work with the Clarity 2 laser from Lutronic. This laser has a medical CE, so you can be sure of a 100% safe treatment.
Depending on the severity, 1 - 3 treatments are needed for optimal results.
After treatment, the skin may be red and sensitive. The treated veins often take on a grayish color. After +/- one week the treated veins are cleared by the body and thus disappear.
In blood vessel treatment, we are going to treat the superficial veins. When the condition is very severe, a new treatment may be needed after several years.
Treatment can be performed in the summer, but this is not usually recommended. It is important to avoid contact with sun 2 to 4 weeks before and after the treatment. A sunscreen with factor 50 is therefore necessary after the treatment.
The starting price is €99, an exact price will be calculated during an intake consultation and depends on the severity of the rosacea.
