Stretch mark removal
How does stretch mark treatment work and what can you expect?
At Skincenters, we use a combination of the Nd:YAP and Er:Yag wavelengths so that we can treat both deep and superficial layers of skin. This guarantees optimal results with a short recovery time. The skin recovers quickly and becomes noticeably smoother and more supple after each session.
Do you want to completely remove or significantly reduce your stretch marks? With our advanced laser treatment, you can expect stretch marks to fade, your skin to become more even, and you will get visible improvement in your skin.
It can be chosen to combine the treatment with a peeling, this provides an even more beautiful result.
Preparation and aftercare in the treatment of stretch marks
Redness may occur after the treatment and may last up to about 48 hours. Depending on the intensity of the treatment, the skin may also swell slightly. Swelling can sometimes last a little longer (several days).
As small holes are made in the skin, a kind of "grid" becomes visible, which can turn into small scabs or just fade away with the days. This depends on the intensity of the treatment.
Treatment cannot be performed when:
- You are tanned by sun, self-tanner, spray tan or tanning bed
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding
We also use a specially developed cream, Laserat, at Skincenters. This cream was developed by a pharmaceutical company and is specifically for after laser treatment. Laserat provides immediate cooling and faster recovery after treatment.

Frequently asked questions/FAQ about stretch marks
The only effective method to fade or remove stretch marks is laser treatment. At Skincenters, we only work with medically certified equipment to ensure safe laser treatment.
Depending on the indication, 2 to 4 treatments are required.
This is always discussed during an intake interview.
It is important to avoid sun and tanning both 6 weeks before and after treatment. We also recommend using a sunscreen with high protection factor.
Laser treatment is not usually considered painful. However, it can be somewhat sensitive.
