During laser treatment for stretch marks, we create tiny holes in the skin at various depths. Preparation and aftercare in the treatment of stretch marks
Redness may occur after the treatment and may last up to about 48 hours. Depending on the intensity of the treatment, the skin may also swell slightly. Swelling can sometimes last a little longer (several days).
As small holes are made in the skin, a kind of "grid" becomes visible, which can turn into small scabs or just fade away with the days. This depends on the intensity of the treatment.
Treatment cannot be performed when:
- You are tanned by sun, self-tanner, spray tan or tanning bed
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding
